My daughter dropped her Dinc 2 yesterday and it fell "badly" and the screen spiderwebbed. It still appears to work fine but I don't know if this will last. There is no insurance (and no, I don't feel that is a mistake as we have had several smartphones and this is the first issue we have had!). Any ideas of where and the cost to get it fixed, assuming that Verizon and HTC are probably more expensive?
An alternative is adding another line to the family plan and getting a new phone that way, transferring the phone to her existing line and then activating a feature phone on the new line. That will cost $9.99 per month for two years + the subsidized cost of the new phone

The question is if the screen or the digitizer is the damaged part.... The digitizer sits on the top of the screen is what a user touches to get the screen to respond...

If it still works Im certain its just the digitizer thats broken. Ebay....you can find them for 15$& typically they include the tools youll need with it. The replacement itself is a bit tedious but its doable. Far better than buying a brand new phone IMO. You can find tutorials on the web on how to do it.
