DROID X DOES "THANK YOU"

I came home from  work today to find a "THANK YOU" box in the mail from Verizon.  Inside was a DROID DOES T-Shirt, DROID Red-Eye Sticker and some coupons... Now if 2.2 was in the box, I'd really be happy... Have these gone out to everybody?  I bought my phone on July 15th..surprised to see Verizon spend money on a customer AFTER I already purchased. Nice gesture...

Not sure...I have five lines on a  1400 minute Family Plan paying $200/month. Not sure if "VIP" status has anything to do with it...

No such thing as VIP anymore. VZW cancelled that program in January.

what are the coupons that come with these thank you packages? could some people please describe in detail what the coupons are, what they are for, what they can be used for, how much of a discount on which products, etc.? Thanks.

There are a bunch of coupons to hand out to friends/family for $25 off a Droid phone and one coupon (for your use) for 25% off of an accessory. All the couppons expire 9.30.10.

I got mine the other day.

Well...

 

Apparently, if you pay 2 1/2 times the contract price for the Droid X as I did (the off-contract price, mind you), you are dis-qualified from getting a "Thank You".

 

I've had mine since Day 1. No T-shirt, no coupons, ....No love....:smileysad:(

 

Oh well, at least, the phone works well enough. Guess I should be grateful for that.

Curious - for the folks who did get it, did you buy it online or in a store?  Trying to figure out if that has anything to do with it?

 

I love my Droid X and have no problem displaying/helping VZ market it

Ok I got mine yesterday in the mail.   :robotvery-happy:

 

Lets see if this helps anyone figure out if they are getting it:

 

  • picked up phone on first day (7/15th) at a store in CT
  • mailed in rebate about 3 wks later, was thinking maybe they wanted to be sure I was sticking with the phone.
  • Received my rebate card about a week ago.
  • A week later my Thank you package came.

What the WHAT!? I want my thank you! I had to give up my defunct beloved cheaper "connect" plan to get this puppy...haha. I got mine in store on the launch day.

 

Maybe someone from VZW needs to comment on this and explain if it is a random set of DroidX buyers that are getting this or if everyone can expect it.

Well, no 'Thank You' box. But I did get a coupon sent through Email for 50 bucks off to upgrade to a new Droid X...

 

Two weeks after I already got my new Droid X. *grumbles*
