DROID X Stays on DROID after update and will not fully boot.

Things I've already tired. All of which did NOT work.

1. took out battery and tried to reboot

2. Took out battery and SD card

3. Took out battery, reboot and pressed home key

4. waited more than 30 minutes with battery out

5. plugged in to wall and left while DROID tried to reboot - stayed on DROID for hours.

Hmm. Any ideas???

You need to do a factory reset. Please read ALL INSTRUCTIONS before starting this procedure. This will reset your phone back to the way it came out of the box. But at this point, the phone is useless anyways, and it should bring it back into a working phone again.

1. With the phone powered off, hold down the home key, then press and hold the power button

2. When the Motorola M shows up, release the power button, but hold the home key until you see a triangle with Andy.

3. Release the home key. press volume up/down at the same time.

4. A menu will show up. Use the volume up/down keys to highlight Factory Reset

5. Press the power button to start the reset.

When the factory reset is done, the phone will reboot. You will have to go through the inital setup process again. If you get a screen asking to backup your settings, DO NOT BACK UP THE SETTINGS. This could back up whatever is corrupt and put you back into the same loop again.

Good luck

Looks like a Factory Reset is in order. Type "Factory Reset" in the search bar and click on the magnifying glass. There are several messages referring to the Factory Reset.

Try plugging it in to a USB port on your computer, that has worked for me before.
