Well lookie here! A possible soak test for the DROID X2? Could it be Gingerbread? Anybody want in on the action?

On the other hand, that is kinda how I would up with this X2. Or at least the fear of an issue that was unfounded in the end....

 

And back on the first hand, the 2 DXs around me are still working fine after the update. My daughter's (my beloved first DX and the one that gave me the unfounded scare), I did restore, just for good measure. My girlfriend's hasn't been restored at all and it's still working fine. 

 

I'm so sorry, ya'll......

The  Gingerbread update is live! Now, I'm just wondering when it will hit my phone.....That;'s live on Verizon's website btw!

I see the update notice on the website. But my phone does not recognize the update when i search for it. Is it still rolling out to parts of the country or should i just contact Verizon?

That is not what I meant.

You are coping the ENTIRE ARTICLE without any mention that the text and images come from the Droid-Life website. There is no obvious link to the original article. It is plagiarism.

Besides I have and most likely others have already read the original article and I would rather see a user type their own summary of the article and a link to it so others can see the full article than to have to read the exact same text elsewhere without the proper credit.

DroidLife doesn't have the official Gingerbread update from VZW.  The one they have will void the warranty.

 

I don't think anyone has actually gotten the udpate from verizon even though the claim was that it was being released on the 28th.

 

Verizon needs to step up their game and get it released as there are a number of us waiting for this Download to fix some issues.

Interesting that Verizon is allowing this update to continue to go out with all the reported issues with it. Let us know how it goes (I'm sure you will..).  :smileysad:
