I've purchased the T505 and read online somewhere that you can't make a voice dialed call through the Motorola DROID by pushing the call button on the T505. I've tried pushing the call button and speaking a name after the tone and nothing happens. What is the reason behind this? It would seem like motorola products would work best with motorola phones, but maybe this is not one of those situations.

I also have the T505 ROKR and you can't make the voice activated call from it with Droid. You can answer an incoming call by hitting the "phone" button on the T505, but for outgoing calls you have to physically press the Droid, either contacts or use the "voice dialer" app, to make a phone call.
The only time you can actually make a call using a hands free device is if the device itself will download your contact list from the Droid, but very few do this.
I don't know why this was disabled on the Droid other than maybe trying to get people to buy some other accessory? The MOTONAV GPS unit, which is super expensive, works for hands free with Droid because it downloads the contact info so you can make a hands free call by just pushing a button.
Other than that I really don't know. But this was a topic of huge debate and disappointment on the Motorola Droid Forum.
