Hey. Last night, my phone stopped connecting to the 3G network... I have pulled the battery and rebooted multiple times, all of which have failed to correct the issue. My wifi will work. Please help!

Mary give this a try do a *228 Send then option 1 an see if this helps if not. If you have more Towers in your area go around them an see if the 3g pops up you can also try this *18 what that does it makes your phone buzz the Tower like Talking to it. give these a try let me know if it helps. B33

I'm having the same problem with no 3G connection. I have four vertical bars indicating that I have a connection, but it doeesn't say 3G, 1X, or EDGE, as it usually does. In the past two days I have traveled to four different towns within a 300 mile radius. I still don't get any 3G connection at anyplace that I've been. I receive phone calls and occasiohal text messages, but I cannot get any data service (facebook, browser, google maps, etc.) When I try to open My Verizon Mobile, i get a message saying "There was an error communicating with the server."
I tried the *228 as suggested. The first time it said, "Welcome to U.S. Cellular activation." The second time it said "Cellular One activation" and the last time it didn't say anything. All three times I was told that my phone could not be activated at this time.
I also tried the *18 as suggested. I heard three quick beeps, then was disconnected. Is this what is supposed to happen?
I'm not really sure what to do. I am an old-school person and have used a Samsung Muse (not smart, flip phone) for the past two years. When it finally gave out on me, the Sales Lady talked me into this Droid 2 Global. It has worked okay for the last two weeks, but now it suddenly has no data connection.
I"ll be watching this thread to see if anyone has a solution. Thank you.

NewAmethyst, is there a reason you cannot go back to the store for help or at least call Verizon Tech Support? They can check to make sure your account is set up properly.
Also be prepared to do a Factory Reset, which they will probably recommend.

I'm in a different town today (still no 3G) but I will try to find a store. I checked my data plan online. It shows that they are charging me $30 for 2GB Data. When I looked at my data usage, it shows several times - up to 10:00 yesterday morning - where there is usage for "Metered 2GB". It wasn't working during that time, so I don't understand why I'm being charged for it. And besides, I was sound asleep at 4:23 in the morning!!
Okay. I'll find a store and see what they say. Thanks for the advice, I'll let you know if it gets fixed.
