About two days ago my Samsung Droid Charge started flashing a gray triangle and notifying me that I need to activate Global Roaming Data Access. However, I am not outside of the US, I am in New York yet this notification persists. I have restarted my phone several times but the notification will not go away. I do not want to allow roaming data to avoid potentially incurring extra charges but this leaves me confined to using wi-fi only connectivity. Is there any way to rectify this situation?

I had the same problem after switching out batteries. Checked several on line discussions and no one seemed to be able to pin it down. I was noticing that whatever it was was draining my battery drastically. I finally backed up my contact list, etc, took out the sd card, and did a factory reset on the phone. When it came back the triangle was gone and my phone was behaving normally. I did have to re-download some of the apps from the play store, but otherwise my phone was fine. Hope that helps.
