Normally when you set up an email account you have the option to keep it on the server. How do you do that with thr Droid Charge? In other words, when I delete a message on my Droid Charge I do NOT want to delete it from the server.

If you are using the email app that came with the phone (not Gmail), then do this. Select the email app, press the Menu button (loower left button), select More/Account settings/incoming settings/Delete mail from server and select never if not already selected.
If I have solved your problem, please acknowledge that with a kudo. Thanks!

WCMack, it would appear that on my Droid Charge I do NOT have anything called 'Incoming Settings' in the 'Account Settings' screen. On my previous Droid phone I did have that and that is why I'm surprised I can't find anything like that on the Droid Charge. And if that function does not exist it is definitely a reason to return the phone because not having that option is a very bad thing.
Thanks so much for your very prompt reply.

As far as I know it is the built-in email application. It is definitely not GMail.
