iphone video will be the correct format, MP4 is the best to choose from, WMV isnt supported and wont play on your Droid X without a 3rd party player.

Just sync it through Windows Media Player and it will set everything automatically.

Sorry I should have been more clear ... atleast the last time I did one it made me choose a windows format or iTouch-ish format ... so it would work on my music player but not my touch or visa versa ... so I didn't know which to choose to make sure it would work.

Here is the settings I use for my video files that works perfectly on device and being played on the TV through HDMI cable...   I also use DVD Catalyst 3 - DVD and Video to Windows Mobile from http://www.handango.com/catalog/ProductDetails.jsp?storeId=2218&deviceId=797&platformId=30&productId...

MP4, FLV or 3GPP.

MP4 might be the most popular option.

FLV is available on Android 2.3 phones.

3GPP is a variant of MP4, low frame rate (about 15fps typical, higher than 15fps is rare, MP4 is between 24-30fps).

Rock player (use free version) does a pretty good job playing most video formats.  I have a couple videos on my phone that are play just fine in AVI format with it.  And that's without me changing the file's display format, just a simple drag and drop through file viewer.

I'm sure cropping it down will reduce the file size, but for me that's not an issue yet.

I think they are out of beta now.  The free version just has a popup at the start that says "try, buy, cancel" and a Small semi-transparent "R" in the corner of the screen on playback
