Samsung Charge with the Samsung car dock. Is there any way to modify the applications that appear on the dock menu? I'd like to replace the Vz Navigator with Google Navigator.
Any comments would be appreciated!

Hi Ksmith0068,
You are able to download Google Maps from the Market. Once downloaded, you are able to put that application on your home screen. When the phone is on the docking station, the Google Maps application will appear.
I hope this information is helpful and addresses your concerns.

Did you search the Market? "CarHome" perhaps?

The DOCK menu is *NOT* the same as the home screen. The dock menu has pre-loaded items such as Google Maps, Contacts, VZ Navigator, etc...
This is *NOT* solved!

I have the same question/problem with the desk dock. I would like to change the default icons that appear when the phone is in the desk dock, but there seems to be no way to do that. Seems a little confining for such an expensive and otherwise flexible phone.

And, although it is not a direct solution to your problem, you can disable the dock screen when the phone is docked. Go to Settings/Dock Settings and set to "Never". This will allow you to see your normal home screens even when the phone is docked. Not an elegant solution, but it will do the job if your main home screen has the apps you want.
