Thinking about the Droid X and wondered if that would be possible.
Have you tried to touch and hold down on the icon you want to delete and drag it to the bottom-middle of the screen; a trash can should appear to delete the icon???
Nope - I'll give it a try. Thanks.
Yeah that's how it is done.
Click until it vibrates, then drag it to the bottom middle to the trash can that appears like magic
That solution only works on applications you install. I have been trying to get rid of one app in paticular. The "City ID" app doesn't go away. It is a subscription app and I don't want it. No option to delete or uninstall.
Anyone have a solution?
go to settings
go to applications
select manage applications
hit menu key (bottom button all the way to the left)and select filter then select all
then select City ID
then hit Clear Data....
this will delete City ID from your phone
I tried this and it does not delete it off the Droid X
I believe that the City ID app is one of the apps that you cannot remove unless you have rooted your phone. The same applies for numerous other apps, such as Blockbuster, Amazon MP3, Kindle, etc.
