Does it ship early?

Solely for planning purposes with my current phone and provider, does the Droid X ship before its stated ship date?

 

VZW is stating a ship date of 9/13/2010. I'm wondering if it ever ships prior to that estimate so I can know when to expect to shut off my current service and put my current phone on eBay.

Mine was scheduled to ship on August 31th...It shipped August 27th.

Mine was scheduled to be shipped by August 25th and I had it in my hands the 23rd. :womanvery-happy:

In my case, no.  My order always said August 31st, and I am still waiting notification that it has shipped.  Given that you usually get notifcation before they actually ship, I'm not sure it will even ship on the 31st now.  I've read of people whose shipments took place after their original ship date as well.  It's like getting in the wrong line at the grocery store.  Some are luckier than others, so, no I wouldn't count on it.

I'm in the same boat with you SHAC

cause I do not feel like paying two bills

I'm only going nuts because I have to shut off my phone tomorrow 8/30

I was told that the phones are in the wear house 8/25

and I should have mine Monday 8/30

but today is Sunday and still no shipment email 

I'm furious at Verizon not for the shipping delay

but for the constant lies

(& I'm in NY)

Mine was scheduled to ship on Aug. 26th.  It arrived on my doorstep on the 25th.  Not a whole lot early.  But every little bit counts.  :robotvery-happy:

Order mine on the 19th of August, said it would be shipped on September 6th.  Got email today, be here on the 31st.

ditto ... ordered online 8/19 ...  original ship date changed from 9/6 to 9/3 ... an this morning received a FEDEX SHIP notice -- due on 9/1  ..!!
