Droid 2 Apps

I have a Droid 2.3.3. I have just activated this phone a few days ago. Every time I try to downlaod a app it will start to downlaod then it will say Download paused, waiting for Wi-Fi. I have the Wi-Fi settings turned off. Any suggestions on what is going on? I have tried turning the Wi-Fi on but it does not help.

Some of the bigger apps like to have a wifi connection for download to make sure there are no connectivity issues.  Make sure you are actually connected to wifi (as opposed to just turned on) for the download.

One of the apps I have tried downlaoding is angry birds. It's only 14.58 MB.

Rwhitle6, thank you for your inquiry. You certainly shouldn't have to turn on wifi to download applications, but for some larger files you may want to consider this. After the update, there was an option added to save battery and data usage by restricting larger apps to wifi only. You can turn this off by going to Settings>Battery & Data Manager>Data Saver>Uncheck Enable data saver.

Let me know if that helps.
