Droid 2 Global Calendar

I am having problems with the calendar on my phone.  I enter events and they disappear.  I have been to a store 3 times, swapped out a phone, been on tech support and no one can seem to fix this.  The calendar/phone is synced to my gmail account. Sometimes events stay on the calendar but many disappear within minutes.  Any one else having this problem or have any ideas.  I was told by one store sales person to go to the app store and pick out another calendar.  There are over 2000 to choice from.  Why should I have to go through over 2000 calendars because the one that came with the phone does not work?

I understand the importance of using your calendar because I truly rely on mine for many things. I will list some steps to synchronize your calendar with your phone. I would like to recommend the following application is not running in the background, which could cause an issue with your gmail/calendar sync. The application is called MyBackup app (RerWare). If this app is running, to remove the application you may use the steps below:

  • From the home screen, select the applications tab (located at the bottom of the display).

  • Select Settings.

  • Select Applications.

  • Select Manage applications.

  • From the All tab, select an application.

  • Select Install.

  • Select OK.

  • Select OK.
