Droid 2 Global - Unlock Code not working

I received the unlock code from Verizon for my Droid 2 Global and put in the foreign SIM card (I am not located in the US). The problem is that the unlock code provided to me from 2 different Verizon tech reps doesn't work. I asked them if there are any other codes or alternate codes but they said there is nothing else they can do. Do I have any other options for unlocking this phone or am I SOL?


Error:[       ]SIM Network Unlock PIN
when I put in the Verizon provided unlock code, the SIM company's unlock code, the alternate SIM unlock code, or either of the 2 PUK #s from the cell company, it says...

 

"Network Unlock Request Unsuccessful"or"Phone is subsidy locked, please contact provider..."

 

Any help? I have tried every code about a dozen times and nothing seems to work.

Were these Verizon Global services reps?  And they both gave you the same code?   There was at least a rumor at some stage that you are only allowed a few (10?) attempts to enter the subsidy code and then the phone is permanently unlockable.  However, I have also heard that that is not true!  If it is true, and you have been entering SIM unlock and PUK codes, that could be a problem.

 

I would contact Global Services again and ask them to confirm the code.  Be sure to check that they have the MEID number correct, if they misenter this (and it is valid) the unlock code they are given will not be the right one.
