Droid 2 Software update failed.

I am having problems with installing the update software on my phone. I have read the PDF file and if the error message pops up after removing battery and putting it back and turning it on and download the update. I have done this 6times and every time, it will fail. I have no idea what else I can do. 

Can anyone help me?

Consider yourself lucky. I HATE everything they changed and am fighting with Motorola now. I'd give anything to dump the update.

Its frustrating to have the device keep freezing when trying to receive the update. I will definitely attempt to resolve this right away How many bars of signal strength are you showing? Is your device using a WIFi signal? Do you have the device backed up with your Gmail account? If so please hard reset the device. Please repost with your results.

I downloaded update on numerous occasions just fine but get fail message during install. I tried hard reset and still same error.

Have you ever rooted your phone?   If the system files aren't exactly as they "should" be, the update will fail.
