Droid 2 & Yahoo email

My Droid 2 email is set up to use my Yahoo account, but when I pull up the email on the Droid, it automatically changes the status of the email in Yahoo to show it has been read. Very difficult to manage both and make sure nothing was missed. Any suggestions?

After a hour on the phone with Verizon Tech support, and another hour with the local stores expert, I've reloaded the account a couple of times and still have the same results!!

I use Yahoo! on my phone and I can't say that I have experienced that same problem. Did you download the Yahoo! Mail app from the Android Market? Or did you just go to the Yahoo! site the first time and went from there?

I just downloaded the Yahoo! Mail app from the Android Market. It's a free download. Then, just load it up and put in your username and password, and you're set. It alerts me when I receive new emails just like my GMail account does.

I didn't load the Yahoo app. I set up the phone from beginning with the yahoo account instead of a gmail account. It never worked right, even after I wiped it all out and re-entered the information.

I'll give the app a try and see if that helps!
