My bluetooth keeps turning off so that I am unable to use the Ford Sync system to make and receive calls.

Have you tried to power off your phone and back on? How long does the bluetooth stay lit? What is your battery power?

doesn't seem to be a battery issue as the phone works fine. It's just that the bluetooth keeps turning off.

It pairs fine and starts downloading the phone book and then the bluetooth turns off.

it's the bluetooth on the phone that keeps shutting off. It pairs with the car and seems to be working, then stops and I find that the phone's bluetooth is now off.

Must be your phone. My Ford Sync works fine with both the Droid 1 and Droid 2 Global, Resyncs fine when I get in and out of the truck.

I have similar problem with my DROID2 connecting to my 2009 Ford Focus ever since last Android upgrade. Bought car brand new and have never encountered any bluetooth connection issues until the last forced upgrade on my Droid. I have been able to force Sync connection by deleting device, changing my device name on handset, then follow pairing instructions in Fords Sync manual. Have had to use this trick 3x now since upgrade. This trick is no longer working since car battery died the other day. Even when I choose my device name on Sync menu to pair, it didn't work. Deleted device on Sync, changed name on handset, tried to pair from step one & NO success. Droid2 does NOT show Sync and Sync does NOT show Droid2. I've tried EVERYTHING & quite frankly am fed up.
Now touch screen is losing it's touch. Worries me to think about 10 hour car ride I am going on with 3 year old son for the holidays with phone that shuts off on it's own, hangs up on calls (NOT dropping them), makes a call on its own and merges it with current call, it freezes all the time, the screen goes blank so on & so forth. SO WHAT AM I SUPPOSE TO DO IF I HAVE AN EMERGENCY CALL TO MAKE???? The useless thing fails to respond to touch and will complete call on its own, when it feels like it.
Bought first Android January 2011 and have had to have it replaced 4x now. All I want is a RELIABLE device that CONSISTENTLY provides me with RELIABLE communication. This DROID2 has major personality disorder. What a waste of time and money for something that can't perform.
Mad about it
