I am a new owner/user of a Motorola Droid 2, and after getting dozens of calendar appointments loaded into my phone I plugged it into a USB just to copy/move some pictures around. After unplugging the USB ALL of my calendar events have been deleted!???
This has happened before right after I got the phone, but this time I realized it immediately after the USB hookup was disconnected.
I have never used a Google calendar before and was not trying to sync anything....

I personally have a Droid 2 and connect it to my computer frequently. I would suggest to put your phone into USB Mass Storage when connecting it to the computer. You can follow these steps: Plug in to USB port on computer> pull down notification panel> USB connection> USB Mass Storage. If you have already done this, ensure USB debugging is disable by going under settings> applications> Development> ensure USB debugging is disabled.
Let us know if this fixes your calendar from erasing.
