Droid 2 issues with contact pictures

I have posted here about the Droid 2 not having the simple capability of syncing my exchange contact pictures with the contacts. This did work with the Droid and other phones but for some reason the Droid 2 cannot. It uses Facebook pictures by default. There is an option under accounts to select the picture source where it lists your accounts but only lets you select FB. I also still find it strange that I cannot view/sort contacts by last name and/or company name either. The home dock and car dock functionality is also less then the original Droid. I have always been happy with Verizon in the past and still think it's the best service out there. But in the last month or so I get shipped two bad Droid replacements and then get the Droid 2 only to see functionality decline.

I don't sync my Droid 2 with exchange, and I don't use facebook. I have several contacts with pictures, so I'm not sure about your comment that it uses facebook by default.
I went into the contacts, edit, and selected the pics I wanted to use from the gallery.

I have all my contact pictures and icons in exchange account. With the original Droid and many past windows mobile phones, when you sync with exchange it adds the contact picture to the contact name automatically. I don't want to have to this manually for 600 contacts. Thanks!

I didn't say you wanted to do it individually for any specific number of contacts. My interest was in your comment that the contacts uses facebook by default for pictures.

Yes, the source for contact pictures by default is FB. I don't want FB on my phone but I added just to see if I could change the source. No go! Thanks

Lol... i don't mean to laugh at this, but it's a little funny because I know exactly what you are talking about and I know EXACTLY why you are frustrated in your responses. The person above who responded does not have facebook that's why he/she does not know what you are talking about. I just looked in my phone and noticed that some of the folks in my contact have the picture that I (not facebook) assigned to it. So then I tried to remember how I got that... and unfortunately it WAS because either they were already manually assigned or I manually assigned it after the fact. That being said, I don't know any other way to do it. But for that many contacts there HAS to be something. Maybe by now you have already figured out something........... I hope, for your sake.
For the record, I don't like Facebook trying to take over my Droid 2 at all. Facebook is Facebook. And my phone is my phone.
Good luck!
