My Droid 2 will never ring or vibrate when I get a text message. Is there some setting I need to change to make it do so?

Are you using the stock messaging app that came with the phone, or one you've downloaded from the market such as Handcent?
In the stock messaging app, press the far left hard Menu key, select Messaging Settings, and scroll down to Notifications. Select your ringtone and make sure Vibrate has a green check next to it.
In Handcent it's the same process. Hard menu key, Settings, Notification Settings.
If you are using a 3rd party app for texting, make sure ALL settings in the stock messaging app are DISABLED or turned OFF. The 2 apps can conflict with eachother and basically cancel each other out when both settings are on.

I think that will work. I'm using the default messaging app that came with the phone and saw that it was not checked when I went into the settings. Thanks for your help!
