Droid 2 (not global or R2D2) Gingerbread update coming?

There's no info whatsoever on the Motorola roadmap about the D2, only the D1 update to froyo being complete. Verizon never gives out any information. Now that the D2 Global is getting GB, what about the D2? My wife and daughter both have the D2, and neither is especially enamoured of it. Kinda laggy, random issues. A serving of Gingerbread might just be the answer.
Come on VZW - you don't have to give me a date, but let me know if it's coming or not.

Hi there!
I would love to give an yes or no, but we have not been given information from Motorola on GB for the Droid 2. The best way to stay up-to-date on software releases is to sign up for email alerts here.
Thank you!

I'd like to know too. I am wondering why the D2G, DX and DPro all get 'em before the D2 gets it. Heck, I've heard on other forums that the DX/D2 differences aren't much in the kernel.

My Droid 2 (NOT Global) updated itself to Gingerbread today (Android 2.3.3) Seems good so far, but a new icon has appeared in the top of the screen- 3 vertical wavy lines between the Bluetooth icon and the Wi-Fi icon.
Anybody have any ideas what it means?
Also, haptic feedback on key touches stopped working, found I was getting used to it as a confirmation I had hit a button, so I turned it back on.

Vibrate? Or the bluetooth icon changed in how it is displayed when actively paired.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

Yup, its vibrate! Thanks for the info.
Looks like we all (Droid 2users) get to use Gingerbread.
Time to play with it and learn the new stuff.
My wife's Droid 2 just beeped and said the update is now available.
It goes to a screen with an open box with arrow coming out pointing to a Droid icon, with a yellow status bar below.
