Droid Charge losing 3g connection and voice calls

My wife and I both have the Droid Charge and my phone is losing 3g connection and having voice issues while hers does not. The voice issue is ...shortly after answering a call the person calling me can't hear me. I have to hang up and call back. Along with that my phone drops 3g service (not sure about 4g..we do not have it yet). I check her phone and she is up and running. I was hoping that this would be solved after the O.S upgrade, but I am not very confident that is going to happen any time soon. Does any one have any ideas on what I can do to stop this from going on?

Ugh, nothing that I have done has helped me at all....seems to only be getting worse. The people at the Verizon store said to do a factory reset and that would help temporarily. They also said that there would be an update coming next month that would probably fix it. They never said what the update was but hinted to 2.3.5 G.B. I am hoping that is the case.

Yes, this is a serious problem. For some reason, going through downtown Roanoke, VA - I often lose the data connection, and sometimes the calls. My wife's Charge does the same thing. SAMSUNG, please fix this.
