I have a Droid 2.
I bought me a cover for it. Now of course it will not fit into the docking station anymore. Unless I constantly take the cove of the front and back. Anyone have the same problem and hopefully found a solution?

Unfortunately, that's the nature of the beast. The covered Droid 2 will not fit either the home docking or the car docking stations without removing the cover first.

I have the docking station for home and the car. If you check each, you'll find there is a removable insert (they are kind of hard to see since they are black). I was going to take mine back to Verizon until I discovered that "secret". If you purchased your case/docking stations from Verizon, then your Droid 2 Global (the one I have) should fit with both the front and back on. Hope this helps.

There are only two cases that I found from VZ that work with the multimedia dock. They are the snap-on red and snap-on purple cases. The car dock will work with them as well. It can't have any case clips in the way. That is why I originally returned the car mount and bought an Arkon Mega Grip mount off of Amazon for under $20 with shipping. It works great. Just doesn't launch the car dock automatically but that can be done manually so problem solved.
