I saw that Best Buy is giving Droid HTC for free with 2 year contract. What is the down side of getting it at Best Buy? It's on the Verizon system and Verizon charges for the HTC.

First you may want to remove your cell number from the Device description, we all can see it.
As for BB or any third party seller, they MAY have their own contract and restrictions along with the contract you will have with VZW.
Some of these sellers have an add'l ETF for first 181 days of the contract that states if you make ANY changes to plan or add ons, you may be responsible for an ETF of around $250-$400. So be sure to verify there is NOT an add'l contract with a possible ETF.
The second possible issue, is they may have different return policies than Verizon., If you any problems with the phone during the first 30 days, you MUST deal with the 3rd party reseller and not Verizon.
Do you homework, if you can live with the restrictions, BB can very well be the way to go!
