It sound nice, but it may be a while before the FCC approves it and Verzion finally accepts it...

The phone specs are intriguing, but if there ever was a phone that needed a cover, this one is it! The red plastic is way tacky.:robottongue:

Even so, I  would probably buy it over the current smart phones that Verizon carries.

Agreed it does look like a great phone. I do like HTC in general.

I agree, not loving the back. That might be a post production model in the video. I have also heard chat of possible having interchangeable back plates. That would be cool. I kind of like the shape of the back thinking it will aid in the grip of the phone.

I hope thsi phone ( or the N1 ) will be avaliable by April.  I really want an Android phone, but it looks like getting anything less than a 1ghz processor and 2.1 OS would be very aggervating.  The ERIS users have to be getting fairly annoyed at the OS update delays....

The Moto Droid doesn't have a 1 GHz or 2.1 (right now, will soon), but it's a fantastic phone.  I'm not sure why you'd call it "aggravating."

Think he means that a lot of us that have not upgraded to an android device yet and have been following these rumors of a 1 gig snapdragon processor with HTC sense IU and that what we expect to drop. Anything else would be a little disappointing. Don't think he is knocking the Droid, just probably not the phone he wants. At least that how I feel.

This may be true ... but with technology, I think we all know, if we are always waiting for the next thing, we'll always be waiting.  Instead of waiting around for a new phone, I've been enjoying my Droid for 2 months.

My friend has a Droid, great phone play with it all the time. It has been getting a host of great upgrades as well. Multi touch, 2.1 Definitly a hot phone. I am just not crazy about the design, but that's just me. I am a patient man. I want a phone with no physical keyboard. A 1 gig processor.

Can someone please explain to me what this HTC "Sense UI" is as it applies to their phones and why it seems to be so **bleep** important to people?

This link should answer any questions about HTC Sense:smileyvery-happy:

http://www.htc.com/us/discover

Toward the bottom right of the page there is a link that opens a video window which explains Sense in detail.

It takes the standard Android platform and expands on it, with multi touch and other goodies. Its a very nice touch. If you know anyone with an Eris check it out or go to your local VZW store.

Please, please, please be the Incredible!

Does anyone know how long it takes from the FCC filing to release of a phone?

I saw on another forum a comment that the N1 for Verizon was due out in April under a different name. But who knows, there have been so many rumors about the new phones.

Maybe they should call it the Rumor! LOL
