I'm new here so please excuse me if I've done this wrong. I got my Driod almost a month ago and the salesman said I could tether my phone to my laptop. I think I just figured out that the Droid Incredible is not compatible with a Mac. Does anyone know if this is correct? And does any one know if any of the Droid's are compatible with a Mac.
Thanks for your help!

I have a Macbook and a DINC and it hooks up just fine. When you plug your USB cable in, the Mac laptop will likely pop up an error. Just hit the ignore button. On the DINC, you will get your normal screen to choose "Charge Only"..etc etc. When you choose to mount the phone, it should pop up two drive icons. One for the phone, one for an SD card if you have one installed.
Then you can drag and drop whatever files you want. Hope this helps. Good luck!

Thanks so much for posting this information. I just got the Droid Incredible and spent 30 minutes on the phone with tech support and they just told me it was incompatible with the Mac and that I would have to download some software. I'm really glad I found your post. Thanks again.

you're welcome. The unmounting is very important. you need to eject on the mac first, then change to charge only, let it do its thing, then unplug. Otherwise you risk data corruption. Some say no, but I've had it happen.

Sorry, secondly. To unmount the drives, "Eject" them both on your Mac laptop, then go to your DINC notification bar, choose the USB connection and choose "Charge Only". It will then say "preparing phone storage"..then "preparing sd card". That should properly unmount the phone and sd card.

To get a new app to show up on one of your home screens you can simply hold down your finger on the home screen and it should popup the screen to choose what you want to plant there.
Or, you can go to your app screen and press and hold down the app icon. That should then pop back up on whatever screen you were on and then (while still holding down) move it around to the area you want the icon placed.
