Droid Incredible dropping emails??

I'm finally getting emails from my verizon.net server.  But for some uncanny reason this morning when I attempted to open them, I saw all 18 for about three seconds, then they disapperared.  Please, any ideas?

Had you already downloaded them to your home PC when you saw the subject lines on your phone?

Yes, my home PC Outlook is running at the same time?

What happened is, once your home PC receives the messages, they are no longer on the ISP's server for the phone to retrieve.

You received the subject lines, but nothing more. When you attempted to see the messages, the were already gone, as there was nothing on the server to download.

If you had not already downloaded the messages to your PC, you could have clicked on the subject lines on the phone and you would have received the messages.

You can change the mail settings to keep the messages on the server, but at some point you will have to remove them.

I have my Inc set to keep messages on the server, so if I look at the messages, they will still be there for me to download when I get home.

Appreciate the help, so once the emails appear on my PC, they automatically drop from the Droid.  Where do I change those server setting to allow the emails to remain on the Droid until I delete them manually?

On your PC, If using Outlook, TOOL>ACCOUNT SETTINGS>  Click on an email account, click on the More Settings button, click the Advanced Tab and checkmark, leave message on server.

Another suggestion if I may is if you are using the stock email program on your Inc, try K9. It seems to be a much more stable program.

I had been having the same problem too but this morning there was an update for my phone.  Once that was completed, my e-mail problem went away.

Mine was doing this also, the default is set to pickup email for only a certian number of days old (dumb on verizons part) try this, got to your E-mail. Then click Menu> more (three dots)> send/recieve options> download options> select "by days" then scroll to the bottom and pick "all"

See if that helps
