Droid Keeps Downloading the Same Messages

I have successfully setup the Droid to download email from (3) different accounts. However, if I delete an email on the Droid, but leave the email on the server the Droid will go and download the email again. This was never an issue on the Blackberry. I typically leave all of my messages on the server so that they are accessible via the web mail client if I ever need them.
Anybody have any ideas how to delete the message so that your phone won't go get it again even though it's still on the server?

I'd like to know the answer to this problem as well. I see no one has answered you. Did you remember to put on your deodorant ? Just teasing!

I have the same problem - this is the third thread about this.
I don't know the solution. Someone said mark all the emails read instead of deleting them.
I think this is a major bug and will need a software fix.

Amen. The email handling is the only thing that makes me miss my Treo. Tired of getting notifications for the same messages, read emails being re-tagged unread and re-notified, deleted emails re-appearing...
