Droid Man With A Caution Sign Over His Head?

Within the last week my Droid X has died twice, and when I plug it into the charger, the little driod man pops up and there's a caution triangle with an exclamation point over his head. There is no chance that the phone is over heating because its doing it as soon as the phone is plugged in. In order to fix it I've had to pop the battery out, and the first time the little droid man popped up it refused to charge for thirty minutes. When I took it to my local Verizon store, the representative literally looked at me and said, " I'm not sure what your talking about so I don't know what to tell you." I can't find any information for it on the web, nor have I been able to locate any information on the forums here.

The phone was completly drained that cause this and this was the recovery mode icon, next time press volume up and down at same time to enter menu and then select reboot.

This is a regular reaction after the device has been drained, you have to charge on a wall plug only and it usually takes about 30 minutes to get to a power up level..  Best way to avoid this is to charge device before complete power drain and also a extended battery helps.
