Droid Sales Offer

Hey everyone. I just had a quick question about a sales offer I received in the mail. I contacted Customer Service but they weren't really able to help me and I figured I'd ask for some first-hand experience before trying the other number they gave me specific to Droid sales reps.

I received one of those sales offer cards in the mail stating that I was eligible for an early upgrade to the Droid at an unspecified price if I act on it prior to Jan 31.

It gave me a key code and instructed me to call an 800 number which I did but to no real avail thus far. However, it showed on the back that I could go to verizon.com/myverizon and enter the key code it provided and that I could check out the offer online. I tried to go through these steps and couldn't find anything regarding it. So, I just went through the upgrade motions but got as far as "Checkout" with still no space to enter the key code and I wasn't about to move on to the next page and see $599.99 be charged to my account for the device.

Has anyone here received a similar offer and acted upon it for the upgrade? It's something I'd really like to take advantage of. I'm assuming it'll just offer me the "New 2-year contract" price which I believe is at $150 after rebates, but I don't mind paying that.

Any insight you can provide would be helpful. I tried to browse the pages of the forum but couldn't find anything related to this particular circumstance.

Also, I currently have a Blackberry and would love to hear the pros and cons of Blackberries VS Droid from former Crackberry addicts.

Thank you,

Ashley

Those are third party dealers. They do work with verizon wireless but you are on your own if they missinform you. I have used them before to upgrade on a different carrier I had, it worked well for me. Some people report bad experiencews. You have toread all their fine print as you may have a 3rd party contract. If you vhange your rate plan, they can charge you. Why dont you get the buy one get one free of verizonwireless.com?
