Got my Droid over Thanksgiving weekend and had no problems for a week or two, then I started having text messaging problems. Randomly when trying to open and view a text message it will say: "The application Messaging (process com.android.mms) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again," and it will force me to turn off my phone for my text messaging to even open to create one again. One I restart my phone all text messages are deleted even my locked ones. It it starting to happen one or twice a day, and it happened before I had any apps at all on my phone. Some people say its becaues you have too many messages well it happened many times when I only had about 10 or 15 messages in my inbox. Someone please help me out and tell me what to do because so far this is the only problem I've had with this phone. It deletes all of me msgs and I cannot even access text messaging until I restart my phone when everything deletes, this happens with no apps and minimal messages that are under the self deleting limit.

I am receiving the same error messages. It occurs for me multiple times a day. It doesn't appear to matter If I have a few text messages or many already on the phone. I have also found that the only way to solve the error message is to restart the phone. When I do all of my saved messages are gone. This is becoming increasingly frustrating. If anyone has any info please help!
