I just purchased a Droid X two weeks ago, I switched from the Storm first edition which quite frankly was a piece of crap. With the storm I was able to connect to the Bluetooth in my 2008 Cadillac STS very easily. The Droid X is another story. I tried putting the phone in discoverable mode and then searching with the car, both the phone and car recognized each other when I went to connect the car sent a request for the Pass Key which I entered, I even changed it from "1234" to "0000" it never connected. I them proceeded to scan for devices with the Droid and Receive with the car, once again the phone recognized the car, however when I tried to Pair with the car I received a message which said "There is a problem paring with the Cadillac" I tried both of these methods of connection more than 20 times each it did not work. IS THERE A SOLUTION TO THIS PROBLEM? It is very frustrating that you pay absorbent amounts for phones with such advanced technology only to have a simply Bluetooth connection problem. By the way I was able to connect to a regular Bluetooth ear piece easily.
And yes I do have the latest update for the Droid X

Hey, You may want to check w/ your dealership. The soundsystem on your STS may have a "compatable device list" and the X may not be on it. Although, bluetooth is bluetooth in my opinion and it should just work.
also try a hard reset by removing the battery for several min. and reinstalling and rebooting the X.

Thanks DJ will give the reboot a shot, but I agree with you 100% Bluetooth is Bluetooth and it should connect. The STS allows to modes of connection through direct Bluetooth and through the navigation system radio neither is working for me right now. I checked my manual and thee is not a list of non-compatible phones which leads me to the conclusion that if it is Bluetooth it should connect, I will call Cadillac and see if they have a updated list. Thanks again
