Droid X Handsfree

I have read so much information that the handsfree feature would not be possible on a Android phone until the 2.2 Froyo was released but to my surprise after I paired my bluetooth with the DX it worked flawlessly. Has anyone noticed this or did I just read wrong..

I haven't tried it yet, but it could have something to do with Motorola's UI picking up the slack.

 

I do recall the 2.2 froyo listing that as a fix in articles I've read.
