Droid X Locking Up

I have had the Droid X for two days and it has locked up several times. I've had to shut if off and leave it shut off for quite a while before it begins working again. Last night after fulling charging the phone, I began using it to only have it lock up again. Tried to pull the battery, but could not get the back of the phone off to access the battery. The phone appeared to cycle on and off.  This morning the phone was completely dead.  Plug it in and it turned on again.  I'm headed to a Verizon store this morning. I can't have an unreliable phone.

Try doing a soft reset by removing the battery, wait 5 seconds, then place the battery back in and power the phone on.  Here is a picture to show you how to remove the cover. This picture can be viewed here http://cache.vzw.com/multimedia/mim/mot_droid_x/droidx.pdf . You will need to type battery in the search engine. Hope this helps!

I just activated my new Droid X 2 days ago & ever since I activated it, It keeps freezing & rebooting itself. I tried removing the battery for 5 minutes & restarting. I also checked for any software updates. I even went as far as doing a complete restore to factory condition, and the problem still exists. It sometimes reboots itself without even touching it! So, yesterday I went to a VZ wireless store after calling support over the phone. The store told me they need to replace it & will ship me a new one. Of course, as usual, they didn't have any in stock. I'll be lucky if I get my replacement by September.
