Does anyone know when Verizon is going to release the Droid X OS 2.3 Gingerbread update? Looks like a lot of new cool features in Gingerbread.
It looks like Google is set to reales the Nexus S on 12/16 - and it is to be the first device to ship with Gingerbread.
The online info on 2.3 releases is that the Nexus S will release on 12/16. Other than that, there has been no info as to which devices would get 2.3 or when.
At this time we don't have any information available on this update. If we receive information about the update, we will be sure to post it.

Great news!!! Gingerbread is coming officially from Verizon Wireless on the Droid X! We updated our support page for the Droid X with this information. You can view the Support Page and the Update Document . It's coming very soon, but no date has been communicated. Once we update the official device page, the update comes out very soon afterwards.

Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's pretty cool. I heard that the update would roll out on May 27th OTA and could be manually downloaded after June 1st as well. That was on the Droid X forum earlier today, posted by a Verizon employee. I'm so stoked!!!
