I am on my second Droid X. It is very buggy, I get less than half of my emails (outlook) and it locks up constantly. I am told by verizon reps that they will get me a new phone, (droid X only) and that I will have the same problems. Why won't they upgrade me into a phone that works without charging me an arm and a leg? Does anyone know of a solution??

outlook is very picky in what it will recieve, trying to protect you & why i choose outlook express, with a pop3 account with cox & it's not quite so picky.
months ago folks got the dx2 as a replacement, i doubt real seriously if you'll get a dx.
lockups could be apps installed so it's hard to say with the info you've given.

Unfortunately, you will only get a Droid X, refurbished. They will give you another type of phone only if you pay the difference. Not worth it because you're problems probably will not go away. Outlook works okay on Windows, anyplace else, such as an android system, it is very buggy. You probably will do better just using the gmail you signed in on. As for the other problem, I too believe that it;s apps caused. You could do a factory reset, this will put your phone in a pristine condition. Then add your apps one at a time and see what happens. If it locks up after installing an apps, you know that this apps is causing it.

cscharf16,
I'm sorry about the Outlook issues you have been experiencing. I assume this is an Microsoft Exchange account, is that correct? I do agree with the other members. Outlook can be tricky on mobile device. There are third party apps that work well or better depending on how Outlook/Exchange is set up on the server side. I'm not confident that replacing the phone will resolve your concerns with Outlook. My best recommendation is to try an application from the Market to see if any of those fit better.
Please update us on changes so I and the community can assist further.
Thank you!
