Droid X Question?

I ordered the Droid X around 10:00 a.m. this morning. I received a conformation email, but not a tracking number. I purchased it online, which included free overnight delivery. Is it safe to say that I could be expecting the phone tomorrow? I saw the backorder on the website. I live in Tampa, FL if that helps at all.

You may have been lucky enough to get it before they switched to the backorder. Check the status online or call into customer care to see if they can give you the tracking number.

I'd expect it tomorrow.  As I've said before, it can take up to 24 hours to send out tracking info, with overnight shipping if everything is indeed right, you could get the package before you get your tracking number.

I payed $8.99 for overnight fed ex. A csr told me they didn't  have free overnight delivery. Anyway you should get the email. I got the tracking # 10 hours after ordering at 12:30am. Did you have to put in a promo code to get it free? I also ordered online.

Don't you think it's possible you received a bad phone. The vast majority of people with the X are not having issues. I just don't understand why everyone expects absolute perfection from an electronic device. Interesting to see what their reaction would be if it was their company's product and/or service that had a few faulty items out of more than 50,000+ manufactured.

btw, I read your post and I do hope that your issues are resolved quickly without having to have it replaced. Still waiting on mine and my wife's to get here.

Seriously... You have responded to every single post saying the same thing.  We get it, take your phone back to the store and wait your 1 month for another Droid Incredible.

narddog, you may run into the same problems, but most have reported it was due to having a low/dead battery.  After a night of charging the phones are working great for most.

I am just excited to get a new phone. I don't expect it to be perfect, but we are just now upgrading to our first smartphones. Mine might have a few issues, but the LG Envy2 I currently have is by no means perfect. Today is going to be a good day! I

The good thing is Motorola has been pretty quick about fixes for their smartphones.  HTC tends to have a policy of release it and forget it.

I've owned a couple Motorola and a couple HTC over the years and the quality has definitely been on Motorola's side.  Just ask the EVO owners who are having their touch screens peel away from their phones due to inferior adhesive which weakens from the phones heat.

The tracking number only becomes available for tracking once FEDEX has picked up the package from our distribution centers. At this point FEDEX is in possession of the package, and all of their systems will be updated to reflect the anticipated delivery times, and the most up to date information. Please do not cancel an order because you are unable to track the order. Once a tracking number is assigned to your shipment, we will email you the tracking information. We appreciate your patience and understanding. HTH:smileywink:
