Everytime I text someone they receive the message with a question mark between every letter.
Example:
S?a?m?p?l?e
me too
I did a search ahd even a google search to see if I could find a solution. Nothing came up. Are both of you using a signature on text messages? Are you using a different app for messaging like handcent or chomp sms?

I just recd DX yesterday; I have not added any apps for sms.
I am using the sms system that came with the DX.
I do not have an sms signature.
do u happen to have a signature in ur txts?
Okay so I found one person on yahoo answers having the same problem-->Text ?'s Droid
At least you two aren't the only ones. Maybe tech support can help out (calling them)
I have been having the same "texting" issue since getting my Droid X. I am on my third phone and still have the same problem with question marks between every letter and randomly appearing boxes instead of text at times. Have been to tech support in store 3 times sometimes the issues don't occur for a few weeks but they always come back. Has anyone resolved this problem, can't be the phone since it has been changed three times has to be in the data transmission. If anyone has a fix for this it would be GREATLY appreciated.

no issue here but i do get annoyed at how when you pick a suggested word it puts a period and space after it like "hey you want that i guess your done now"
I've read about this issue before, it was even solved. I will see if I can dig up the answer.
Edit: I see this is an old thread, but if anyone has this issue in the future, it may be caused by the predictive setting. Try turning it off then back on.
