I am looking for a recommendation for a DX Video Player that will bookmark where I stopped viewing so I can restart at that point and not have to start over. The DroidX stock player will not bookmark.
I've tried Zimly Media Player and while very nice, I could not find a way to bookmark. I really did like the Zimly "Full Screen" option.
I used DVD Calalyst free for DroidX to prepare a DVD Video for the DX and now need a player which will bookmark.

Thanks crb79
I found the solution.
I needed to go to RockPlayer Application Settings, Player Mode and place a "Check Mark" in the Hardware Decoding Mode entry area. That fixed the audo/video sync issue.

I found RockPlayer Universal (for Android). It will do a "Resume/Continue".
Before doing the "Resume/Continue", Audo/Video in perfect sync but after selecting "Continue", Audio/Video no longer in sync.
Any ideas?

I was going to suggest RockPlayer but the a/v sync is bad after resume. It's something to do with this current app version. The beta version did not have this problem, or at least I did not notice it being as bad. I know a lot of people have been urging the creator to fix it so we will just have to wait for the next update.

Doing that option makes RockPlayer use the Phone's codecs. You won't be able to play all the file types that RockPlayer supports with that option checked. IE I play AVI's with RockPlayer, the phone decoding won't play them.

Thanks. Is there a way to get Meridian Player to fill the screen (go full screen) with the video? Rockplayer has a selection which allows full screen.
I like several features provided by MP.

I do not know about that because all my videos fill my screen because I use DVD Catalyst to filter my videos to be optimized for the Droid X. I never liked the way the players stretch videos with those options. If it does have a zoom feature I haven't seen this option but I havent had to look for it either.

You are correct, I do not see a Zoom feature available with Meridian.
I also used DVD Catalyst for DroidX to prepare the video for the DX. It did not come out full screen. Let me go back and redo Catalyst for that DVD and see what I can learn from that. I'll let you know. Thanks.

Wildman...
Are you using DVD Catalyst Free or the Free Plus? (paid for version?)

I have the pay version but I am guessing the free version should have simular settings, all I do is select Motorola Droid from the phone selection area and filter the file.

I did a "re-do" of my DVD and I get the same end result. It seems that the DVD Catalyst Free for Droid X does not have the same settings as a paid version. You say you "select the Moto Droid from the selection area." That option not available on my Free version. My filter results produce a file 640x480 and is not wide screened. So I will need to Zoom it to go full screen.
I am going to get the Paid Version of DVD Catalyst and I think that will solve my issues. I'll let you know.
Thanks.

I purchased the paid verison: DVD Catalyst 4
It is a very wonderful and powerful program. It is fun to use and well documented.
The DVD Catalyst 4 resolved all my issues.
Thanks!
