From reading on here mine is not the only Droid having issues these two days.  Did Android or Google send out something that caused problems?

Hard to assist with so much vaugness in your question.  Gingerbread has been rolling out in waves since June 1st. A lot of people just seemed to have received it ...  Did you notice an UPDATE on your phone?  Anything "peculiar" that changed?  As far as "issues", take some time to use the Search Bar up above for any specific problem you seem to be having -- it has likely already been addressed .. if not, open a thread with 1 specific problem at a time -- not a "dump" of ALL issues you might be having ..  Seems like you'll get more help here doing it that way.  Good luck.

You can verifiy your system version:

Menu / Settings / About Phone --   what is your "System version" & "Android Version" ??

Various issues over 24 hours on Droid X with current software which I believe is Gingerbread

Gets stuck on the M screen and will not come on.  Seems to be okay now but the Function of the Home key is gone!

Last night I changed the battery and it seemd fixed.  Today it happened again and again.  I took the battery out for a good 60 seconds and the tried it again which did seem to help but not until I pushed another button while it was stuck on the M.

I have had the phone one year, anxious for the Razor version but I was hoping this would hold out until then, apparently I have issues now.

I have two phones, well three.  One Droid and 2 Casio GZone Rock phones.  I don't have a home phone.  I'm a gadget maniac and if I had not read about others having similar problems would think I had just worn out my Droid X.

Maybe I will go to Verizon or maybe I won't.  I'm due an update on some line, but I usually just keep right on using the Casio GZone phones and replacing them via eBay if need be.  I'm very fond of that phone and its applications.  So I can get a new Droid with an upgrade from one of those numbers.

I'm thinking though that this is a system issue.  Freezing on the M screen, and other crazy things the last 24 hours.

OK, trying to cut through all that ...  Again, try the SEARCH feature - there is a wealth of info out here on many specific "issues" that people have encountered ..

Especially if you're now "stuck on the M", you really should consider just biting the bullet and performing a Factory Reset -- many people that had a "lot" of issues seemed to get things to settle down by doing that procedure .. If you take it to a Verizon store, they will likely do that on your behalf .. In fact, there is a camp here that strongly suggests doing that F.R. *before* any update. Personally I didn't have to .. YMMV  ...    Oh, and make sure you have your data on your SD card backed up before starting and a list of all your FREE Apps you installed ..   Market will NOT remember your FREE apps that you downloaded after a F.R.

Good luck.

Negwegon's Droid X lost all functions and wouldn't take a factory reset!
