I need to reboot my Droid X. How do you get to the battey door? I can't open the hard case on this device. What's the trick?

Just put your thumb on the m logo press down and slide it torward bottom of phone it will slide about 1/16 of a inch cover will lift off .there is a tab to pull on to get battery out don't pull to hard just enough to make one end of battery to raise up .don't pull it to hard and break tab.
