Droid X bluetooth with 2011 hyundai elantra

So I just got a new 2011 hyundai elantra about 2 weeks ago and it is bluetooth compatible. I am now eligible for a new phone upgrade and I am looking at the Droid X but i wanted to know if anyone out there has a 2011 hyundai elantra and a droid x and if they are 100% compatible. I want to make sure whatever I get is compatible with my bluetooth feature in my car.

thanks!

Best advice hold off another month or 2 and there going to be a few new phones to pick from both 3g and lte devices like the charge droidx2 the incredible 2 the targa the bionic all should outperform the x and I say use your upgrade wisely and chances are the newer phones are more likely to be compatible also you should be able to get a list of devices from the dealer telling what will pair with your car.

yeah, unfortunately i really need a new phone because my current phone is on its last leg....i would wait but i can't handle this phone much longer and i don't have a backup to use until then. I called hyundai today and they said the best thing they can say is to go into a verizon store and see if they would let me pair it to my car and see if it works. I really like the droid x and in my personal opinion the droid x2 isn't worth waiting for...there aren't many differences between them.  Thank you so much for your input

Not sure about the Elantra but it doesn't work with a BMW X3. Good luck. Otherwise it's a great phone.

Can't swear to the Elantra. But, I have the Kia forte (Elantra's sister car) and it works with that. So I don't see why not. But it may depend on if you have straight radio or navi/stereo  if all functions will work. I know Hyundai's site only lists the Droid. But, Kia did the same on the Forte as well. If you haven't I would ask the dealer if they have a more specific listing.

Thank you for your inquiry and feedback. Adding to what was stated, the auto dealers website does have a list about the phones that would be compatible with the Elantra. In looking at the list we did show a Droid listed. Perhaps the car dealer's list needs to updated to reflect if the Droid X would work with their Bluetooth function. I am providing a link to the car dealer's website. Its strongly suggested to consult with the auto dealer for Bluetooth pairing functioning assistance.

I had to return my RAZR this evening because it wa s not fully operational with mY 2011 hyundai elantra. Hyundai has some phones it tested that you can check by going to  www.hyundaiusa.com/bluetooth.

The android seem to be the worst except for the first droid.

I guess smartphones aren't really smart when they can't connect to late model bluetooth technology.
