PROBLEM:
OK folks, I had my Droid X brick itself by getting the battery down to 0% and going into auto power off. The phone was left to charge for over 2 hours on the MotoDock, and would not turn back on. Usually, after 2 hours, there is about 10-15% charge on the battery. I couldn't even get the screen to come on. When I hit the power button on the top of the device when unplugged from the power dock, the only thing I got was all 3 LEDs for the status blinking very quickly together to make a whiteish light, then dieing all together. The phone would not respond to Master Reset commands, ESN pings by VZW Support, or multiple battery pulls. The only indicaction that the phone was not a total bick was that the status light would turn a solid green when returned to the charging dock and would not go out until removed from the charging dock. I even tried going straight into the wall charger without the dock, and the same results occurred.
SOLUTION:
After leaving the data cable plugged directly into my computer, after 30 minutes, the green light went out and the phone auotmatically rebooted itself. It seemed like a miracle. I have no idea why the phone would all of the sudden get a command from a MS Vista Home Premium SP2 machine to unbrick itself. I can't tell whether it was a USB signal coming across goofy that bricked the phone or what. All I know is that after calling VZW, switching the ESN back to my Samsung Omnia, and then letting the Droid X rot on the Vista machine's USB port, it all of the sudden works again. Albeit, it only showed a 5% battery charged status upon the auto reboot. Like I said, it should have been at least charged to 15% after 2+ hours on the charging dock.
