Droid X issues continue

I have had my Droid X since release.  I'm running 2.2.1.  This is my second Droid X as my first one had a latency issue with user input even after a factory reset.  The problem I am running into is reboots during calls, Rebooting instead of shutting down so I have to do a shutdown twice. Random lock ups with GPS on in google maps.  Factory resets don't help and what's the point of having a phone if I have to keep factory resetting it and loosing 2 days of productivity?  I am so feed up with this phone I am concidering taking it in and going back to my Envy (Gen1) phone.  Atleast it was reliable....

Your issue sounds like a software issue and as for having to format usually come from the list of apps being installed that usually run into conflicts with another and the easiest solution is usually a reset to remove everything to start over, this isnt always the best way but when a user does not choose to troubleshoot to identify the issue, this sometimes is the easiest solutions as long as the same apps are not reinstalled again..:smileyvery-happy:

my son had problems with his dx and the replacement phone had gb installed and he hasn't had any problems.

if you're in warranty, change it out.

one person did and they sent the dx2, which i'm not sure if it was a curse or blessing.
