Droid X loses calendar appointments

My droid X consistently loses appointments from my calendar.  Since I use Exchange at work to make all of my appointments, those are the ones that it loses.  I have re-entered several and they still drop off after a little while.  I cannot find any consistency in how this happens.  It appears to be random.  I do not really want to use Touchdown as it appears to be an unnecessary cost.

Has anyone else had this problem and found a solution?  Thanks

There have been a lot of reports on glitches with Android 2.1 and Exchange. There are also reports that Motorola has been working hard on fixing this glitches with Android 2.2.

If you do not want to purchase Touchdown, then wait until 2.2 comes out next month (hopefully) and see if the appointments stay.

This seems to be more of an actual software problem within your device. I suggest performing a hard reset then re-setting up all your accounts. The steps to perform the hard reset are listed below:

To reset your phone to factory settings and erase all
the data on your phone, press Menu > Settings
> Privacy > Factory data reset > Reset phone.
Warning: All data on your phone will be deleted.
(Nothing on your memory card is deleted.)

To reset your phone to factory settings and erase all the data on your phone,

press Menu

> Settings

> Privacy

> Factory data reset

> Reset phone.

Warning: All data on your phone will be deleted.(Nothing on your memory card is deleted.)

Hope this helps.

Before erasing everything on your phone, this suggestion might help fix the delivery of your appointments. Keep in mind it wiil have diffrent outcomes based on your internet mail provider.

-Your email adress needs to be configured online.

-log in to your account on a non pda platform and set up your calendar. keep in mind your @mail calendar should synk to your phone. By not configureing a online back up, your appointments are valunable to "hatter hacker apps". i prefer to stay non bias on what email carrier will provide you the most reliabilty. -The droid phone will back up according to the time it is schdual to reconfigure.

to make a long statement short, log in your email account on a computer, and setup a calendar. synk your phone to the account, and good luck

I had a problem with one of my Google calendars.  I searched the help forums on Google and found a solution that worked for me.  I went to my calendars on my handset and selected each one so that they would not sync or show, once the sync had completed I went back in and selected each one again so that it would both sync and show.  Once the sync operation had performed again all my appointments showed up and I haven't had a problem again.
