Whether the phone is capable of it or not is besides the point. Verizon will not allow it because they want to sell more phones. Also it would not fit their LTE plan as their LTE phones are CDMA & GSM.

Crb Glad you pute CDMA & GSM on here as i have a new meaning for GSM Get -Some- More, Money out of Us that is its like ice cream sunday you want a Double dip you can get it but it'll cost ya alittle More.

The Droid X wont support the 4G network because the device does not have a supported hardware

The Droid X can't run on 4G (LTE).......it doesn't matter due to the fact that Verizon will be selling only LTE phones in a couple years. I would imagine that they will let the 3g phones phase out as we upgrade or get new a new line.
