I am thinking of going from Droid 2 to Droid X today, I dropped my Droid 2 and the glass shattered, I will use an upgrade available on the account. Please offer opinions on the Droid X, or if I should consider another phone that will give me the internet. The Thunderbolt is too expensive. Thanks

Go to the Verizon store and try it out. I like the larger sized screen, some don't.
I can live with the virtual keyboard, some would rather have the slideout keyboard.
Only you can make the call for yourself. I don't regret my X one bit.

This past Sunday I bought the DX. I've had the D2 since August.
I really like the DX. The screen is much brighter than the D2 and of course much bigger. I have the brightness turned all the way down and it's still bright.
The soft buttons on the botton of the D2's screen are hard buttons on the DX, that takes a little while to get use to.
The DX has a couple of options the D2 doesn't have like being able to lay it face down to put it in slient mode, and double tap the screen to silence the ringer.
The only time I miss the physical keyboard on the D2 is when I need to edit a word doc. Now I have to do it in portrait mode and I don't really care for typing in portrait.
I also missed the D2 live wallpaper (the red eye with the moving dots) but I found the apk online and installed it.
