Coming from AT&T to Verizon was suppose to be a better experience. The Droid X is fundamentally flaws. It's crash/boot issues are well documented all over the internet. This phone is only 4 months old and act worse than a 3 year old Voyager. Not only that, Verizon's customer service is terrrible and I would rather live in my parents basement then work for them. I have to swap out my droid x with another droid x. This is after I have to perform a master reset and wait a few days. This has been done already but I guess I am jsut a lying customer. Here what is going to end of happening. I am going to drop data plans on all of the phones on my bill by going back to old devices. I do not need the hassle of a {word filter avoidance}
shutting off in the middle of a phone call. I also work in a store where these phones are sold, I can guarantee you that I will push every customer away from Verizon until my issues are resolved. The iPhone on AT&T was a quality phone, yes it had its dropped calls issues. The droid x has dropped more. Try having a convo for 30 mins with 6 dropped calls. That is beyond annoying. I want a different phone and they will not give it to me. So, I will go back to older devices and save myself the hassle. Eventually, the smartphones I do have will be sold to some poor uniformed android fan boy who doesnt care that the phone runs like crap. For $30 a month, the phones should **bleep** excellence on data. You guys are terrible and honestly have done a great deed for me. I realized that I did not need data on my phone and that it is a complete scam. Thank you for hepling break me of my technological dependence.

Atleast the developers over at iCrap are happy unlike the ones in the news today. Too many different versions of android is causing the OS to be too fragmented. I feel sorry for the Galaxy owners that got lied to because Samsung won't support the roll out of an update. Atleast when an iOS update is released, they all get the update. Only a fraction of Android phones are running the latest android OS whereas most Iphones are running the latest iOS. I don't want an iPhone either. The point is that these phone clearly lack in quality both hardware and software.

Sorry but your favorite phone sucks. The difference is, I created an account to post 1 complaint. You sit on a forum all day raving about a cell phone.

why the reference to a voyager, doesn't sould like you ever had one.
i'm coming from a voyager to the droid x and haven't had any problems but i live in a big city, not out in the middle of a poor reception area
like many who whine about service, you don't post as location.
yeah, i guess you could say at&t has a few dropped calls.

The point is you posted on a peer-to-peer forum. It seams to me you should be complaining to the people who work for Verizon (Like corporate headquarters) not other owners of the phone you have.
Just a question I have though..... how much research did you do (regarding this "well documented all over the internet" problem the "X" has) before you purchased this phone that has been out for almost 9 months? I would also think you should have had many of your own customers complaining about this issue. Because, after all, You do work in phone sales.
Good luck, whatever you decide to do,

You have posted 1 trolling complaint and followed it up with 2 trolling responses. Now who's sad, the people helping others with their phones, or the Troll who created an account to troll about a phone, and watch the forum all day to follow up with more trolling responses? Snip, snap, snout. This tale's told out......
You may call me big Billy Goat Gruff.

The OP must've gone back to their Walmart job... I'm assuming their "phone sales" job is at Walmart because of their terrible grammar. I wonder what people do to their phones these days to make them break down so much...

As if anyone values the advice of a walmart employee. If one of them tell me a product sucks, it's a pretty good sign that it is a quality device.

This one is interesting because it is a source of information about android phones in general (I couldn't care less about iphones) and this forum can be entertaining when some troll shows their immaturity and makes an arse out of themselves.
First, the X is an EOL phone that has passed the torch of "greatest phone" on to the Thunderbolt (in my opinion based solely on the fact that the Thunderbolt is on 4G).
Second. It isn't perfect, but it definitely doesn't "suck". I wouldn't own another phone (even with the lure of 4G).
The fragmentation in the app/developer world amounts to nothing but whining. Google is stepping up their control and it and better security will improve things.
The software update argument is a valium laced with Tylenol PM. It puts me to sleep. Tell me what a phone with 2.2 can do that one with 2.1 can't.
I realize, the purpose of updates includes enhancements and improvements, i.e. glitch resolution. But, updates tend to cause more problems than they solve, so that old rant gets nothing but a snore from me.
