Droid X 's power doesn't turn on

Just checked on my droid as usual and for some reason I could'nt turn the power on. It's not letting me. Anybody who has the same problem with the droid X ?? Please Help!!!!

Is the battery DRAINED? Try plugging in the charger into a wall outlet and see if it pops up with the "CHARGING" screen.

If not that, Pull the battery and put it back in after about 30 secs.

Let us know if any of this worked.

I tried several things.....first I took the battery out, then placed it back on..tried to turn the power on...didn't  work.

then, i tried to switch batteries from a same phone, and tried using another battery that has been charged... didn't work

and then I tried pressing the power button several times, and waited for the thing to turn back on...didn't work

called tech support and told them about the issue... they asked me if i happened to drop or have the phone placed in a liquid solution...i told them that i took good care of my phone... never dropped nor placed in watery environment. they told me to have it fixed by my service provider. I only had this phone for 2.5 months..I couldn't believe it went dead all of a sudden.

Scary ...  I've had mine for 7 months and never any problem like this. Seems like you tried everything possible on your own. Probably time to bite the bullet and take it into a Verizon store and get it replaced (1 year warranty) - you'll get a refurb though.

Thanks everyone for your input on this equipment issue. I agree with the information the forum has provided, in that it appears that a replacement is the only resolution at this time. The fact that you tried a different battery that was fully charged, to no avail, confirms the problem is in fact with the phone itself. Please visit your local Verizon Wireless corporate location for a warranty replacement.

With the charged battery you have, place it into the device and hold power button without the power cable plugged in and see if this changes things, I have noticed sometime if the device is off and you attemp to power it up while plugged in the device doesnt respond.  I have had this happen to me several times....

Try this it may resolve your issue...
